OUR PHILOSOPHY

If there's one thing we've learned from our years of experience training every sort of dog there is, it's how to get results.

We take the good parts from many different philosophies of dog training and integrate them to produce programs that actually work for your dog and for you. We believe the best pet relationships are built on trust and understanding between dog and owner, and we want to help foster these relationships with our human and canine customers.

OUR TEAM

CHRIS LANDERS

TRAINER — WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA

Chris with a dog

Chris began working professionally with dogs in 2011 while serving as a deputy sheriff. Chris was a member of a decoy program which provided him with knowledge and experience in tracking, scent work, and patrol work. Chris continued working with the K9 unit until 2016 when he left law enforcement and entered the private sector to pursue a new career. However, Chris quickly realized he missed working with dogs and sought opportunities to continue his passion for working with them. He volunteered his time at a local animal shelter and became the head trainer.

As the head trainer, Chris worked with dogs to get them ready for adoption, and then once they were adopted, he continued their training side-by-side with their new owners to ensure everyone adjusted well to their new circumstances. Chris continued his career with dogs when he relocated and became a narcotics dog handler for the state prison system. At this point, Chris realized he was dedicated to a career of working with dogs, so he attended Tarheel Canine Training School for professional dog trainers where he spent 6 months expanding his education and experience in training police, military, and pet dogs. When the program was complete, Chris trained pets and working dogs for a year before moving to Virginia in 2020. Chris currently trains special operations, police, and private contracting dogs, as well as serving as the lead instructor for all handler’s courses.
